Localisation Sharing Circle
Is Now the Time for Localisation?
The vulnerability of global supply-chains and the volatility of global commodity markets are increasingly plain to see. Globalized dependence is proving to be a recipe for conflict and collapse. It is perhaps clearer than ever that we need much greater self-reliance at the national, regional and local levels.
Is a corresponding surge of interest in localisation projects upon us? If so, how can we build on this? If not, how can we help connect the dots between the big global picture and its implications right here at home?
Join localisers from all across Australia (and NZ?) for a timely check-in, co-facilitated by Transition Australia, the Degrowth Network, and Local Futures. This is an opportunity to hear what others are doing and to work together in a more co-ordinated way.
What is a Localisation Sharing Circle?
This is a series of monthly online forums. Part sharing, part learning but all about connecting with others to help build think of things in new ways and build ideas to actions. These session, cofaciliated by Transition Australia, The NENA Localisation Hub and Local Futures offers a timely check in, refresh and opportunity to explore what others are doing and how we can do it better together.
